Sanjay Dutt’s legal troubles: Now Ekta Kapoor files a lawsuit for money (see pics)
Ekta Kapoor who is quite famous for her daily soaps on Indian television has claimed that she gave a signing amount of 1.5 crore to Sanjay Dutt in 2008. The film, which was to be co-produced by Suniel Shetty never, got on the floor. According to the report published in a leading daily Sanjay never returned the money.
Recently Suniel approached Sanjay’s wife Manyata to sort out the matter. He asked her to pay the money to Ekta and end the feud but she refused to take note of to his plea. When the dialogues failed to yield any results Ekta decided to take the matter to the court increasing Dutt’s legal troubles.
The ‘Khalnayak’ actor is pursuing his 5 year jail sentence after he was convicted for possessing illegal weapons. The Bollywood star has been involved in many controversies; biggest of them is being implicated in Mumbai serial blasts. He was sentenced for illegal possession of arms during the 1993 tragedy. Though he was cleared of any involvement in the bombings the TADA Court sentenced him a five year imprisonment.
Quite famous for portraying a small time mafia in ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’ Sanjay will next be seen in Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer ‘PK’, which is scheduled to release on December 18. The film is directed and produced by Rajkumar Hirani.
Sanjay Dutt is considered as one of the most generous Bollywood stars.
Madhuri Dixit’s script woes
Mumbai: She
is one of the biggest female stars of Hindi cinema. After her bleak
attempts in making a successful comeback, Madhuri Dixit has been
waiting for that perfect script to help her get back in the business.
Word
has it that MD has been meeting filmmmakers Sujoy Ghosh, Ram Madhwani
and Madhur Bhandarkar but nothing seems to have materialised.
Apparently, Madhuri has now told her team that she’s willing to do a
film even with a debutante director but with a good script.
Be it lack of good scripts or sheer bad luck, looks like even super stars like Madhuri have to endlessly wait for a good film.
Yay or Nay : Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Manish Malhotra
The face of Kalyan Jewellers, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, launched another one of their stores in Mumbai this afternoon.
The actress, who is definitely aging backwards, attended the event wearing a light coral embellished Manish Malhotra saree.
Gold jewellery from Kalyan Jewellers and simple hair and make up rounded off her look.
She looked so pretty! The only thing is that I thought that the gold jewellery didn't really work with the saree. But she being the ambassador had to wear it.

Salman Khan and Govinda’s icy vibes
Mumbai: Govinda
has still not forgiven Salman for backtracking from his promise of
launching his daughter Narmada. While he may pretend to depict a great
camaraderie with Salman when they make public appearances, the fact is
that there is a thaw in the friendship.
This
bond has rapidly deteriorated after Govinda refused to act in a Marathi
film that Sallu was producing. Apparently when they met recently on the
sets of a show, Salman didn’t really go out of his way, like he
normally does to chat with Govinda, who felt insulted by this behaviour.
Well, well, well, there are no permanent friends or foes in Bollywood.
Sachin Tendulkar started his international cricket against India
It was an exhibition match between India and Pakistan in Mumbai’s Brabourne stadium when Tendulkar came on to the field as a substitute fielder for Pakistan.
Javed Miandad and Abdul Qadir left the field at lunch time and Sachin was asked to field. Imran deployed him at long-on and soon Kapil Dev hit a skier in his direction. Despite running 15 metres, Sachin could not reach the ball.
Recounting the incident in his recently released book, 'Playing it My Way', Sachin remembers complaining to a friend later that he could have taken the catch had he been positioned at mid-on instead of long-on.
"I don't know whether Imran Khan remembers this or has any idea that I once fielded for his Pakistan team," writes Sachin in his book.
