Freak incident at CST in Mumbai, three different train's catch fire
In a freak incident on Wednesday, three bogies of different trains parked at Mumbai's Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus caught fire.
The fires on all three trains started in the washrooms of the respective trains. In the first incident, the fire began in the general coach of the Deccan Queen at around 5:05pm. Soon after a similar fire was noticed in a coach of the Sahyadhri Express at 5:30pm. The third fire was noticed on the CST-Howrah express at 6:05pm.
Officials said the similarity in all three incidents point to sabotage as all of them started in the bathrooms of trains parked closeby on platforms 8, 9 and 15.
At the time of writing, senior CR officials had rushed to the spot and no injuries were reported.
Spider-Man 2 all set for a big opening in TN!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is going to take an earth shattering opening in Tamil Nadu when it releases on Thursday, May 1.
The film gets the advantage of a four-day weekend, with no opposition. It was a masterstroke by Sony Pictures India to advance the release date by a day.
The multiplexes in Chennai are going to milk it dry for the weekend, with maximum screens, prime time shows in biggest auditoriums.
The film is releasing in 207 screens out of which 165 will play the Tamil version. And 70 of the 207 screens will screen it in English and Tamil in 3D and some of them with Atmos sound.
However the bad news is that there will not be any IMAX screening of The Amazing Spider – Man 2 in Chennai, as the two IMAX screens are yet to open.

VIT student's new app on women safety
For her invention, Mithila was awarded Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Award by Padma Vibhushan Dr R A Mashelkar at IIT, Ahmedabad recently.
National Crime Records Bureau says that high incidence of crimes against women has been reported over the past decade. Now, a big question has arised on how to safeguard women from such crimes. In this situation, Mithila tried to find a solution to this problem.
Under the guidance of professor Monica Subhashini, she did research works and discovered 'Voice Activated Safety App', which she named as 'Friend'. The software works in bluetooth enabled mobile phones. If a women who caught in dangerous situation, use the keyword 'danger', the app will automatically alert emergency numbers.
VIT University Chancellor G Viswanathan, Vice Chancellor V Raju and vice presidents of the university congratulated Mithila for her invention.

India's first ever Dance week festival rocked Mumbai which was celebrated with much pomp and show. Bollywood celebrated choreographer Sandip Soparrkar as the brand ambassador of this 'Dance Week' organized 5 days Dance Celebration at Phoenix Market City Kurla, which was grand success where more than 500 dancers participated in different dance form like Folk, Classical, Couple Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Bollywood.
The winners of the series, Kadam and Raina Parekh a couple from Ahmedabad who showcased a splendid Indian classical dance - Kathak won an
international Holiday to Thailand. The couple was presented the prize by Sandip Soparrkar and awarded by yesteryear Bollywood actress, Vidya Sinha, who was also the chief guest for the closing ceremony. The other winners in each dance category were also awarded with free shopping vouchers and exciting gift hampers by celebrities like Alesia Raut, Abhishekh Avasthi, Shibani Kashyap, Rajneesh Duggal, Pragya Yadav, Dev Balani, Kalpana Gandhi, Ananya Dutta and Rohit Verma who also added the extra oomph and glamour to the evening.
