'Finding Fanny' team releases video of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone's reel marriage
The 'Finding Fanny' team has unveiled an exclusive video of the making of Deepika Padukone's wedding scene with Ranveer Singh from the film. Ranveer Singh who plays Deepika Padukone's dead husband Gabo in the film has a miniscule appearance on the show but he happily did it.
Elegant and classy, the entire Christian church wedding setting looks pristinely beautiful and Deepika in that wedding gown nails it. but more than that, it is Ranveer's natural energy and mad antics that caught our attention.
And after the making video, trust me even the short appearance that Ranveer has, will up our charts and increase our anticipation about the film.

Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan: Bollywood celebs who have risked their body for their films (see pics)
I
New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra seems to have pushed herself beyond limits in her upcoming biopic, Mary Kom.
The promos and the video chunks of the film shows the beautiful lady developing those masculine cuts and in her body and also going through a rough and fierce physical treatment.
While the makers and the lady have gone up to claim that Mary Kom is going to be a pure heart rendering film, we appreciate Priyanka’s efforts to risk her feminine frame intending to justify her character.
Remember our ‘Desi Girl’ with the ever-so-perfect curves and the intriguing charming personality; the diva has actually given herself what can be termed as a sharp athletic persona. Though she is not the one who has risked her body to absorb the character that she is playing in the film, the fact that it takes a lot of courage even to think on that line forces us to pat her back.
She can be seen doing terrific push-ups with that huge tyre on her back, rolling the axe with her arms and doing various other fierce exercises in the film. And those muscular cuts engraved on her shoulder and back are visibly evident even if they are only for the film.
Several other Bollywood celebs who have put their heart and soul in shaping the characters perfectly that they are doing include the names of Farhan Akhtar, Salman Khan, Kamal Hassan, Vidya Balan, amongst many others.
Salman Khan (Tere Naam): This guy never acts. He just stands in front of the camera and is his natural self. Audiences love him for that. Physical transformations, beards and wigs are a complete no-no for Salman. The one exception was Satish Kaushik's "Tere Naam" where Salman agreed to tonsure his head to look convincing as a tortured inmate in a mental asylum.
Kamal Haasan (Appu Raja): The actor, who gives something amusing each time he comes on screen, had to bear a real tough pain while shooting for his role. The actor had to walk by keeping his legs completely folded while walking to justify his dwarf character. And this came when the cinematic world was no technically advanced.
Farhan Akhtar (Bhaag Milkha Bhaag): The actor went way too ahead in carving his body and did excessive gym to develop all those killer abs and muscular enhancements. The entire body had to remain terribly under force and what amount of struggle did the actor go through, we can’t have an idea upon.
Vidya Balan (The Dirty Picture): While portraying the character of Silk Smitha in her career’s best so far, ‘The Dirty Picture;’ Vidya had to put on a lot of weight. And the actress did justify the role and garnered enough accolades for her performances in the film.
Mumbai Film Festival raises Rs 1.5 crore in two days
MUMBAI: Since the launch of a social media campaign to save the Mumbai Film Festival on 28 August, the festival has raised Rs 1.5 crore of the Rs 5 crore budget required. The campaign started after media reported that the festival had been called off due to lack of funds.
The industry at large has pledged their support in ensuring the 16th edition of the Mumbai Film Festival will yet again be marked on the regions cultural and festival calendar.
Well known producer-directors Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rajkumar Hirani, producers Manish Mundra, Vivek Kajaria and Nilesh Navlakha, director Hansal Mehta and noted author and critic Anupama Chopra amongst numerous others have helped in the funding the film festival.
Speaking on these developments, festival director, Srinivasan Narayan said, “I am extremely happy and humbled with the response that we have been getting from the film industry and film lovers in the city at large. We are delighted and grateful to Cinestaan Film Company, Anand Mahindra, Rohit Khattar and Manish Mundra for their generous contribution. Also we are extremely thankful to Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Anupama Chopra, Vivek Kajaria and others for ensuring that the festival rises like a Phoenix. Today for the first time ever it truly feels that the Mumbai Film Festival belongs to the patrons and lovers of the festival. I thank each and every one of those who strive to ensure that the festival continues to present the best of World cinema to our Indian audiences”
Cinestaan Film Company, promoted by Anand Mahindra and Rohit Khattar have also stepped in with their support and has committed Rs 60 lakh for the cause.
Talking about the lack of funding in the festival, Cinestaan Film Company chairman Rohit Khattar said, “Anand (Mahindra) & I believe that a festival as important as this should not belong to one sponsor or studio. As the youngest film studio, we would appeal to the larger studios, production houses and, in fact, to all film lovers in Mumbai to take joint ownership. This is our festival and even the smallest contribution would help fulfill our mission. The Mumbai Film Festival has become an integral part of our cinema heritage and as an industry we need to come together to raise it to new heights and nurture it together.”
The Mumbai Film Festival is organised by Mumbai Academy of Moving Image (MAMI) - a trust comprised of Indian film industry stalwarts and was founded in 1997 by late filmmaker Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Noted filmmaker Shyam Benegal currently heads the organisation.
