Ajay Devgn gives tribute to the nation with 'Singham Returns
Mumbai: Ajay Devgn, whose new film "Singham Returns" is releasing Independence Day Aug 15, says the action entertainer is dedicated to the nation.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film is the sequel to the 2011 release "Singham". Ajay reprises his role of Bajirao Singham.
"Every year we celebrate Independence Day for the nation and 'Singham Returns' is our tribute to the country," said the actor at the film's trailer launch here Friday.
"If both common man and men in uniform would be like Singham, then the Independence Day celebrations will become more meaningful," he added.
The action drama also stars Kareena Kapoor and Amole Gupte.
Salman Khan thinks Shah Rukh Khan would make a great host for 'Bigg Boss'
Mumbai: Rumour mills have been abuzz with news about Salman Khan having decided to not host the next season of Bigg Boss and how the channel is trying to convince him to change his decision.
At the launch of the song Devil from Kick Salman when quizzed about it said, "There is a possibility (of hosting 'Bigg Boss') and a possibility of not also."
On being asked as to who will be a good host for the show, if not him, he surprised everyone present as he said: "If not me, then I think Shah Rukh Khan will be a great host for this season of Bigg Boss'"
Akshay Kumar to produce daily soap 'Jamai Raja'
Mumbai: Superstar Akshay Kumar is all set to produce his first television show titled 'Jamai Raja'. Akshay has teamed up with Ashwini Yardi to produce this daily soap under the banner of 'Grazing Goats', co-owned by Akshay and Yardi.
The 46-year-old actor has donned several hats from being an actor, film producer to hosting culinary and action reality shows on television.
"Viewers are used to seeing a daughter-in-law playing the 'fixer' as she is expected to adjust to new surroundings after marriage. Our new show 'Jamai Raja' breaks this stereotype where the husband attempts to repair the estranged relationship between his newly-married wife and his mother-in-law," Namit Sharma, Programming Head - Zee TV said in a statement here.
The show stars popular actors like Ravi Dubey, Nia Sharma, Achint Kaur, Apara Mehta, Delnaz Paul and Shruti Ulfat among others.
The story captures how Dubey's character Siddharth, takes it upon himself to repair the estranged relationship between his wife and mother-in law.
The show is likely to go on air from next month on Zee TV.

After finalizing Hrithik Roshan for the lead , the female lead has been chosen. Going by Ashutosh Gowariker past record of introducing new faces like Gracy Singh in Lagaan & Gayatri Joshi in Swades , it is official – the beautiful Pooja Hegde will play the female lead in Ashutosh Gowariker's ‘Mohenjo Daro’. Standing tall at 5’9”, Pooja will be paired opposite Hrithik Roshan in this Indus Valley Civilization set love story, produced by Ashutosh Gowariker production.
“I am extremely happy to have found Pooja Hegde. She is very natural as an actress and has an elegance and poise that will make the character attractive and endearing. Both these strengths with a degree of freshness adds the required spark to the ‘Mohenjo Daro’ love story,” says director Ashutosh Gowariker.
The film's pre-production is on in full swing and is slated to go on floor in the last quarter of this year.
