Alka Yagnik's niece Garima debuts as singer

Playback singer Alka Yagnik's niece Garima is making her debut as a singer in 'Mumbai Can Dance Saala'.
It was a usual recording session at music composer Bappi Lahiri's studio. Garima had accompanied aunt Alka. And while Garima was discussing her ongoing singing training, the producer Ranjeet Sharma and director Sachindra Sharma asked her to sing for them impromptu. Garima actually ended up singing.

She said, "I having been training for classical singing since the age of four. And now it feels great to be working and am thankful to Bappida and producer Ranjeet Sharma for entrusting me with a track and showing confidence in me.

Sidharth Malhotra spies on
his 'Ek Villain' audience
Mumbai, Actor Sidharth Malhotra seems to be keen to take a first-hand account of the reactions of the audience to his latest Bollywood release "Ek Villain". He has been visiting cinema halls here to do so.
The film, which released June 26, also features Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
Sidharth's idea is to gather unbiased reactions and he is liking the experience.
"I have been visiting theatres to catch first-hand audience reaction. It was wonderful and a one of a kind experience," he said.
The "Student Of The Year" actor was nervous before the film's release especially because in "Ek Villain", he is not seen as the loverboy that the audience is used to seeing him as. He is instead seen doing hardcore action and stunts.
The film, which released June 26, also features Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.

| Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have been living it up in Kolkata while promoting their coming film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. After two back-to-back hits, Varun Dhawan is looking forward to his forthcoming "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" and says the movie is a modern-day version of the 1995 cult film "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge" (DDLJ). He explained that the film showcases contemporary Indian family and is devoid of melodrama that used to dominate the screen earlier. "It is a modern-day tribute to DDLJ... it is a modern 2014 version of DDLJ... so there's no melodrama... today's youth reacts very differently to authority. So, it's not a copy... it's a humble, small tribute," Varun Dhawan told reporters Tuesday while promoting the film in Kolkata. He says he also had to let go of the trappings of a star actor. "Sometimes in your career as an actor, you have to let go of comforts of being a star. I had to do that in 'Madras', for which I also had to unlearn whatever I've learned so far in my career so that I could learn again," Karthi told IANS. "Since we shot mostly on real locations with real people, I had to learn to mingle with them and act. They're so friendly that they would forget you're a star and at times even mouth your dialogues when you're trying hard to remember. It was a whole new experience," he added.
