Shah Rukh Khan to get Simon Cowell for 'Got Talent' show in India?

Shah Rukh Khan to get Simon Cowell for 'Got Talent' show in India?
Mumbai: Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is coming back to his roots - the small screen, soon, reveal sources.

The Bollywood 'Badshah' is said to have been roped in to host a grand live show based on the hugely popular international series "Got Talent", for a leading Hindi general entertainment channel in December.

A formal announcement of the show will be made at a press conference here Friday, but the source aware of the grand plans told IANS that the show will be one live event to be telecast on the channel.

The source said that if things go as planned, international TV personality Simon Cowell, creator of "Got Talent" and "The X Factor", may also visit Mumbai for the show, likely to be a first-of-its-kind twist on "Got Talent". The live event will be held at the Andheri Sports Complex here in December.

Meanwhile, the Indian television already has "India's Got Talent", the desi spin-off of Cowell's show.

Shah Rukh, one of Bollywood's most iconic stars, is not new to the TV medium.

The 48-year-old started his tryst with showbiz via television with shows like "Fauji" and "Circus", and it was from there that he landed a role in his debut film "Deewana" 22 years ago.

He returned to the medium to host the third season of the hugely popular game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati" and later he anchored "Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?" and "Zor Ka Jhatka".

On the Bollywood front, Shah Rukh will be seen in Farah Khan's multi-starrer "Happy New Year", which happens to be tinsel town's big ticket Diwali release this year.

All's not well in Aditya & Shradhha's loveland

Shradhha, whose recent flick 'Ek Villain' becme a box office hit, is busy attending the success parties of the film, whereas Aditya is fed up with these parties.

Aditya even has the same issues with his ' Daawat-e-Ishq' co-star Parineeti Chopra during promoting the film.

Hope that Shradhha and Aditya sort out their issues soon.

Are Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar no more friends?

Mumbai: From quite some time rumors suggesting Bollywood's renowned filmmaker Karan Johar and superstar Shah Rukh Khan's friendship gone kaput, have been flowing in Bollywood. However, the two of them have always denied the reports but recently SRK's zero presence at the bash thrown at KJO's place added fuel to fire.
Are Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar no more friends?
Reportedly, KJo kept a party at his place for his Bollywood friends and as the bash was for close buddies it was expected that Karan's best chap Shah Rukh will attend it, but surprisingly the star was absent from the event.

While, paparazzi captured all the guests coming into the party, they had to face disappointment on SRK's end as the super star didn't make up to it. In fact, Karan's very close friend Gauri Khan was also missing from the bash.

Since, Karan invited Salman Khan on the curtain raiser episode of his chat show "Koffee With Karan" it was reported that SRK and KJo's friendship has hit a road block. While, Karan has cleared the rumors by calling him his best chap but SRK has always chose to keep mum on the issue.

The bash was attended by Hrithik Rshan, Aamir Khan-Kiran Rao, Sonam Kapoor, Siddharth Roy Kapur- Vidya Balan, Alia Bhatt, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Kapoor and wife Maheep and Karisma Kapoor.

Well, now does this means that their friendship has really wrecked or SRK's busy schedule was the reason behind his absence?

Shah Rukh should play Dhyan Chand on screen: Abhishek Bachchan

Abhishek Bachchan and members of the Kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Mumbai: Actor Abhishek Bachchan feels superstar Shah Khan Khan should make a movie on legendary hockey player Dhyan Chand and also essay his role on-screen as he looks like him. The late Indian hockey player is remembered for his extraordinary goal-scoring feats, in addition to earning three Olympic gold medals during an era where India was the most dominant team in the game. Known as "The Wizard" for his superb ball control, Chand played his final international match in 1948.
"A sportsman whose life will be fantastic on screen is Major Dhyan Chand. It will be an unbelievable story. These are the stories that need to be told. I told Shah Rukh Khan (during the shoot of 'Happy New Year') to make a film on it and play the protagonist, because he looks a lot like him. If you see his photo...just need to change Shah Rukh's hair a bit. Shah Rukh was a hockey player. I think he will be fantastic", said Abhishek on the sidelines of an event here. Two-three years back, apparently, multiple biopics on Chand were in the pipeline and Shah Rukh was one of the choices to play the sporting hero on big screen.
Earlier, SRK had reportedly confirmed that he was approached for a movie based on the legendary sportsman. Hockey, as a sport, isn't new to SRK. He has been an athlete throughout his school and college life and has played the game. Not many may know that SRK, during his school days captained the football and hockey teams besides playing cricket at the zonal and national levels.
Abhishek, who owns a Kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers, plans to make a film based on it in future. "I would love to do it in the future but not right now. The history of Kabaddi is fantastic. It has his origin in Mahabharat..it is over 3,000 years old. So you can get a lot of exciting content but let it build, then we will think of making it. If you do it (make the film) right now and if it doesn't work then it becomes disappointing. So let Kabaddi get that recognition and then I would love to do it (make a film on it)," Abhishek said.
Abhishek is happy that filmmakers are showing Kabaddi in films. "A dear friend of mine, Arjun Kapoor is doing a film called 'Tevar' which is a remake of a Telugu film and it has got lot of Kabaddi in it. Kabaddi has been around in films like in one of my dad's movie 'Ganga Ki Saugandh', Chintu uncle (Rishi Kapoor) in Naseeb'.. Even I had a scene in 'Yuva'.  So it is there in films," he said.

Kick Fails To Beat Chennai Express Record

Salman Khan's much-talked about movie Kick is a remake of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's Blockbuster Telugu film with the same name. Telugu audiences are eagerly waiting to watch the movie. The Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer is slated to release in a large number of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on July 25. But it will not beat the screen count record of Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Chennai Express was released in a record number of theatres across India during Eid festival on August 9, 2013. The movie had graced 128 screens in Nizam region and 72 cinema halls in other parts of Andhra Pradesh. The Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer, which clashed with four small-budget Telugu flicks, had released in a total of 200 theatres in the state. Whereas the screen count of Salman Khan's Kick looks low, when compared to that of Chennai Express. As of the latest report, the Sajid Nadiadwala-directed Hindi film is confirmed to release in 125 cinema halls in both AP and Nizam regions. This low screen count of the film has surprised many in the state, where Salman Khan has huge fan base, when compared to other states in South India. Experts from the Telugu film industry feel that the low screen count of Kick is due two main reasons. According to them, Alludu Seenu, which is set to hit the screens on July 25, could be the first reason. This Telugu film is a launch pad for Bellamkonda Suresh's son Srinivas and the producer has made grand preparations for its release by booking massive number of theatres, much before the Kick distributors thought of doing it in the state. According to the experts, the second reason for the low screen count of Kick is that it is a remake of hit Telugu movie and the makers of the film might have maintained it low, thinking that it may not work at the ticket counters in the state. However, the experts opine that many Ravi Teja fans are eagerly waiting for its release as they want to know whether Salman Khan will match the performance of the Mass Maharaja. We bring you some rare pictures and interesting facts about Ravi Teja's Telugu film Kick. Continue to see them in the slideshow.

Adhyayan Suman and Karishma Kotak's Lucknowi Ishq denied permission to shoot at The Residency in Lucknow

Adhyayan Suman and Karishma Kotak's Lucknowi Ishq denied permission to shoot at The Residency in Lucknow
Director Anand Raut, who has been shooting for his film Lucknowi Ishq in the city in July, was in for a rude shock on Thursday.

The director, who was all set to shoot a romantic song between Adhyayan Suman and Karishma Kotak, was denied permission to shoot at The Residency at the last moment, he claims.

Anand then decided to can the song at one of the Ambedkar Parks in Gomti Nagar. But he was denied entry there. "We had already written a letter to the SDM seeking permission to shoot at these locations a few days back. Humne toh `45,000 deposit bhi kara diye thay to shoot at The Residency. While we were told that the person who will give permission to shoot there is out of town for two days, we were simply denied permissionto shoot at Ambedkar Park. The babus at LDA didn't give us any specific reason for not letting us shoot there. Humara per day ka nuksaan around `15-20 lakh ka hua hai, as we had dancers and choreographers coming all the way from Mumbai to Lucknow to shoot for the song," rues Anand.

READ: Adhyayan Suman: I can be an obsessive lover
While most filmmakers wax eloguent about the cooperation they received from local authorities while shooting in the city, Anand experience has been to the contrary. "To shoot in Lucknow has been the most challenging task. While the government invites us to shoot in Lucknow, the middlemen make sure ki shooting aaram se na ho sake. It is frustrating. Who would want to come here when people at different levels cite different rules for shooting?"
Finally, the song was shot in Gomti Nagar on Thursday, on the road opposite the 1090 Power Line office, at 7 pm, without Karishma. "She didn't want to shoot in so much of confusion. While one moment we would ask her to get ready for the shot, the other moment we would ask her to wait. Thursday poora din yeh hi sab hota raha. I swear I won't come back to shoot in Lucknow again," says Anand.

Ambani's Antilia most expensive billionaire home

Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani's skyscraper residence in Mumbai is the most expensive billionaire home in the world, according to a Forbes list which also includes Indian-origin steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal's houses in London.
Ambani's 27-story, 400,000-square-foot skyscraper home Antilia named after a mythical island in the Atlantic, tops the Forbes list of the most expensive homes in the world.
"The title of the most outrageously expensive property in the world still belongs to Mukesh Ambani's Antilia in Mumbai," Forbes said adding it is the world's most expensive home "far and away" with construction costs reported between a range of $1 billion to $2 billion.
The house has six stories of underground parking, three helicopter pads, and reportedly requires a staff of 600 to keep it running.
Putting Antilia's scale and cost into perspective, Forbes compared it to '7 World Trade Center', a 52-story tower that stands near Ground Zero in Manhattan with 1.7 million square feet of office space that was reportedly built for $2 billion.
Mittal's houses in London's KensingtonPalaceGardens occupy the 5th and the 18th spot on the list of the 21 most expensive billionaire homes in the world.
The steel magnate is believed to own three homes on the high-security street known as 'Billionaires Row', including a neo-Georgian mansion near the Israeli embassy.

Khan vs Khan: Shah Rukh and Aamir in Box Office Clash of Sorts

Khan vs Khan: Shah Rukh and Aamir in Box Office Clash of Sorts
Aamir Khan is now looking to release the first trailer of Peekay on the same day as that of SRK’s Happy New Year.
It's hard keeping up with the Khans. Shah Rukh and Salman hugged each other warmly at an iftaar party hosted by a local politician recently, and SRK has even mended some bridges with Ajay Devgn who agreed to attach the trailer of Happy New Year, starring SRK and Deepika Padukone, to his Singham Returns which releases on August 15.

However, there now seems to be a clash of sorts in the making between SRK and Aamir, who also wants the trailer of his film Peekay, co-starring Anushka Sharma, to release on the same day. (Also read: Aamir Khan's Peekay Won't Clash With Anees Bazmee's Welcome Back)

Happy New Year is a Diwali release while Peekay won't release till December. So, why Aamir wants the trailer of his film out so soon is a question that begs an answer.

It's possible that with Salman Khan taking pride of place as the most consistent performer at the box office right now, the rivalry between the Khans is now mainly between SRK and Aamir. Last year, SRK's Chennai Express shattered the box office record held for three years by Aamir's 3 Idiots to become the highest grossing Bollywood film worldwide. Aamir then reclaimed his own record by ending the year with a Dhoom, outstripping Chennai Express collections by Rs 100 crores.

Aamir may simply be taking advantage of the 100 crore lead. Both films - Happy New Year and Peekay - are helmed by directors who have previously delivered blockbuster hits for their particular Khan. Farah Khan and SRK have collaborated on Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om, Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir on 3 Idiots.

Anurag Kashyap clueless about response to 'Yudh'

Mumbai, July 23: Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, one of the creative directors of Sony TV's finite series "Yudh" starring Amitabh Bachchan, is so busy in the editing room that he is oblivious to the response to the show.
Produced by Endemol India and Saraswati Creations, "Yudh" is Big B's debut fiction show. "I don't come out of the editing room now. I have no idea what response 'Yudh' is receiving. I have stopped reading newspapers and connecting to social media," the filmmaker told reporters Tuesday during documentary "Katiyabaaz" event. His banner Phantom Films is presenting the docu-drama.
"I don't know anything. It is good. I am just working," he added. "Yudh", a psychological thriller directed by Ribhu Dasgupta, airs 10:30 p.m. from Mon-Thurs. Sarika, Zakir Hussain, Mona Wasu, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Kay Kay Menon are seen in prominent roles in the 20-episode mini-series, which went on air July 14

Salman Khan is the most honest co-actor I've had: Nawazuddin Siddiqui

Mumbai: Gangs of Wasseypur star Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has teamed up with Salman Khan in the upcoming Kick, says he plays a very thrilling role in the masala entertainer.
Nawaz says film's director-producer Sajid Nadiadwala wrote the part keeping him in mind. "Sajid told me that when the character was being written in the movie, he already had me in mind. Finally, when it was ready, he gave me a narration and I liked the role. It was a good opportunity," Nawaz told PTI in an interview.

The 40-year-old actor, who has deftly portrayed common man roles in films like 'Peepli Live', 'Lunchbox' and 'Liar's Dice', says people will find his character interesting. "This is completely different from what I have done before. I have mostly played the lower middle class person but not here. My character is grey and quite thrilling. People
will enjoy it," Nawaz says.
When asked how it was to work with Salman, Nawaz says it was great to work with the superstar. "It was great. Salman made the working environment very light and easy because he is easy-going in real life. He is the most honest co-actor I had," says Nawaz.
Slated for an Eid release on 25 July, the film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda.

Priyanka Chopra's non-glam look in 'Mary Kom' knocks you out

New Delhi, July 23: If Priyanka Chopra let go off her diva image to play an autistic girl in "Barfi!", the former beauty queen has once again swapped her glamorous look with a masculine and low-maintained one for "Mary Kom". And as promised, the trailer of the biopic knocks you out.
Based on Olympic bronze medallist and five-time World Champion M.C. Mary Kom, Priyanka is mostly seen sporting braided hair and loose tee-shirts with track pants fighting off stereotypes apart from her opponents in the ring. The power-packed trailer, unveiled Wednesday, shows Kom’s journey from a fighter to a boxer, opposition faced by her father to take up the sport as a profession, training with men, her fearless nature that made her willing to fight even men, her victory, marriage and so-called end of her boxing career, encouragement from her husband and how she gets back into the ring after becoming a mother.
“This film celebrates the never-say-die spirit of Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom. Portrayed by Priyanka as only she can, the screen will come alive with the fierce passion of this champion boxer,” Ajit Andhare, COO, Viacom18 Motion Pictures, said in a statement. Directed by Omung Kumar and co-produced by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Sanjay Leela Bhansali Productions, the movie will release Sep 5

New Delhi: Bollywood's "gorgeous" on screen pair Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif-starrer "Bang Bang" teaser was unveiled Wednesday and has blown away Bollywood celebrities. They have tagged it as "smouldering hot" and "smashing".

Directed by Siddharth Anand, "Bang Bang" is produced by Fox Star Studios and is being touted as the biggest action-romance of the year.

Shot in Prague, Phuket, Greece, US and Indian cities like Shimla, Manali, Delhi and Mumbai, the film with guns, explosions and death-defying action stunts will hit the screens on Gandhi Jayanti, which falls on Oct 2.

"As a film, 'Bang Bang’ has turned out amazing. Big canvas, great emotion and chemistry and outstanding action! The teaser gives a glimpse of the film and we are proud to present the biggest action-romance entertainer of the year," Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios, said in a statement.

Anand says that Hrithik and Katrina are two of the “most gorgeous people in the film industry”.

“This is Hrithik's biggest action film that he has done to date and they simply look awesome with each other,” he said.

And friends from the film fraternity agree too.

Here’s what they tweeted:

Raj Kundra takes a jibe at Salman Khan, banished on twitter

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKOQ_IJ08SA
New Delhi: The business tycoon Raj Kundra looks like is seeking for attention and so he used the most popular source Salman Khan to fulfill his purpose. But in his attempt, the husband of Shilpa Shetty has gone beyond his words and this has irked the Dabangg Khan’s fans.

The IPL team Rajasthan Royals’s co-owner in an interview to a leading daily said that his monthly income is way higher than a Salman Khan film’s earning.

"That's true. And I don't see any fun in being like him," he was quoted further in the interview.

He didn’t stop flaunting his arrogance side and added, "I can bet Salman doesn't earn that much...well, at least nowhere near me. I am in for making films only because my wife has been part of this industry."

After being much criticized by Salman Khan’s fans on the social media, Raj didn’t felt any shame in taking a jibe at Khan’s social work as he took on twitter and said, "To all haters....all I have to say is when u do charity u don't need to talk about it. What I do when I do is none of your business. #kick".

Raj deleted this above tweet and wrote a rather sweet tweet for landing on the safer side.
