may be a name big enough to make a film a blockbuster on his own, but he says that his movies over the years have always portrayed women on par with men.

"Most of my films, I like to believe, have an equality of roles for the ladies. It’s never like a very male-oriented film. May be just a Karan Arjun (1995) was where the ladies came in and did a song ... a romantic angle in there ... but I haven’t done many films like that."
SRK, who will turn 49 this year, has launched several faces in Bollywood. While two of his last launched heroines — Deepika Padukone (Om Shanti Om, 2007) and Anushka Sharma (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, 2008)  — have gone ahead to carve a niche for themselves in the industry, SRK feels that not much has really changed about them.

"They’re just fantastic. (They have) been fantastic since they started. And if there’s a word like that, they’ve become ‘fantasticer’ as the years have gone by, and I wish them the best. And it’s really nice to work with them again when they, as artists, are so much more evolved. I like to believe that they hold a special place for me in their hearts."

Khan adds that he hopes to work with them soon again. "I worked after a long time with Deepika in Chennai Express (2013). I hadn’t worked with Anushka for a long time and then I did Jab Tak Hain Jaan (2012). So there have been long gaps. Hopefully, I’ll get to work with them more. But they’re really exactly the same (since they debuted), or better," he says.

'3 A.M.' will give new twist to horror genre: Ranvijay Singh

New Delhi: VJ-actor Ranvijay Singh says his latest film '3 A.M.' is different from other horror films in Bollywood as they have not relied on cheap gimmicks to scare the audie
Rannvijay Singh
The 31-year-old actor is playing the lead in the Vishal Mahadkar-directed film, which released on Friday.

"The film is a simple love story that deals with paranormal angle. It has been shot in a real haunted location (a mill) in Byculla (South Mumbai).

"The script has been written in such a way that you will naturally have a sense of fear as the story proceeds. We haven't used any cheap gimmick like witch and scantly-clad women dancing to create nervousness," Ranvijay said.

The film is about a guy, who loses his love interest played by Anindita Nayar, and sets out to explore the supernatural world to reconnect with her.

Ranvijay says it was good to share screen space with Anindita.

"She was very nice. She had no tantrums. We had a lot of fun while shooting because the crew were bunch of boys. Anindita also used to behave like a boy with us. We shot the film in just 28 days and when you have such a fun-loving crew things become easy," he said.

After making a successful stint as a video-jockey (VJ), Ranvijay forayed into films. He made his Bollywood debut with 'Toss: A Flip of Destiny' followed by 'London Dreams' and 'Action Replayy'.

He has been away from Bollywood for a long time as he also tried his luck in Punjabi films.

"I have been doing Punjabi films from last three years. I just wanted to do interesting movies. I don't want to do any random film to be in the audience's mind because I have a career in TV," he said.

The actor recently tied the knot with girlfriend Priyanka and he feels that his life has changed in a better way after marriage.

"It's amazing to be married. I feel if you have the right person in your life then you should get married to him/her. You don't have to try hard to sustain your marriage when you think the person is right for you," he added.

Following Deepika's cleavage controversy, Katrina Kaif becomes camera conscious (view pics)

Following Deepika's cleavage controversy, Katrina Kaif becomes camera conscious (view pics)

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone cleavage controversy has stirred a massive debate on the social media platform where some are in support over raising voice against the cheap news while others are against her opinion.
Seeing the rage created around, actress Katrina Kaif is acting very cautious these days so that at least she doesn’t become the victim of another debate.
The actress has become camera conscious at the promotional events for her Hrithik Roshan starrer ‘Bang Bang’ and requested the shutterbugs not to click her from sleazy mischievous angle.
Not giving any minimal chance to the media houses, the actress clearly yet politely asked the photogs present at the promotional event to take her snap from a certain angle.
According to a leading daily, Katrina was wearing a short dress and seemed comfortable in it till she spotted some photographers trying to capture her from unflattering angles. So she politely instructed them not shoot her from certain angles. It’s always better to be safe than sorry.
A clever and intelligent move we would say, as in the past there have been occasions where actresses couldn’t evade becoming the victim of ‘oops moment’ and how could Katrina not be aware of this fact.
Her act of being aware at media events could also be the result of her last year’s leaked bikini pics, from Spain where she was holidaying with beau Ranbir Kapoor, which went viral like anything and annoyed Katrina wrote an open letter to media for exposing her privacy.
Following this we think other B-town actresses would also get inspired and be more alert while posing before the paparazzi. Well, we could evidently see a new change! Isn’t it?

Check out: John Abraham gets engaged to Shruti Haasan in Welcome Back

After tasting success with the action comedy Welcome, Anees Bazmee is back with the sequel Welcome Back. While the first installment saw the sizzling chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, this time around the film will bring the fresh pair of John Abraham and Shruti Haasan on screen.

As the film seems to be in its final stages of shooting, the co-stars John Abraham and Shruti Haasan were spotted on the sets of the film at Kamal Amrohi Studio in Mumbai. John was dressed in black jacket and on the other hand, Shruti Haasan was seen in a red dress and updo. Anil Kapoor too was present at the venue looking suave in black denims, purple shirt and a tie.

Filmmaker Anees Bazmee revealed that the scene in question is that of John Abraham and Shruti Haasan's engagement. He further added that this shot is one of the most crucial points of the film and as everybody gathers together to enjoy this occasion, things go terribly wrong. Something similar had happened even in the prequel when Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif got engaged in Welcome

Produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, the film also stars Nana Patekar, Paresh Rawal, Naseeruddin Shah, and Dimple Kapadia in prominent roles. Welcome Back is now slated to release on January 23, 2015

Hansal Mehta's next a women-centric film?
Mumbai, Sep 23: If all goes as planned, Hansal Mehta who last directed "Citylights", will next wield the megaphone for a women-centric film.
A source close to the director said: "Hansal doesn't like to talk about his projects in their initial stage, but yes, if things go well, his next will be a women-centric film."
Asked about it, Mehta said: "It's too early to talk about it. I cannot reveal anything right now. I am still writing the script."
The director was recently in news when he announced that he may cast the National Award winning actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who was recently caught in a prostitution racket, in his next film. Will she be in this women-centric project?
"There is too much of speculation right now. I would not want to talk about my project at the moment," he said. Mehta had recently also met actress Kangana Ranaut and there were reports that he had approached her for his film.
But brushing all reports aside, Mehta said: "These are all speculative reports. When you meet actors and discuss things, it doesn't mean something is happening."

Priyanka Chopra opens up on her relationship status

Priyanka Chopra opens up on her relationship status

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra is one such actress in Bollywood , who has remained tight-lipped about her personal life but has been very vocal about how she wants her man to be.
And while undoubtedly she has been linked with many leading men of Bollywood including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar and Shahid Kapoor, she neither defended herself nor accepted any of her relationships in public.
However, if the latest buzz is to be added, Priyanka has broken her silence on her love life and given a statement in the media. Talking about her relationship status, the ‘Mary Kom’ of Bollywood has said that she had never claimed she is single.
"I've never said I'm single. Everybody keeps saying I'm single. I've never ever said that. I think you're single till you get married, so in that sense, yes, I am," said Priyanka.
Though she may sound a bit fishy to you, her we are sensing a definite ‘being diplomatic’ attitude of the lady.
Earlier too, despite very dense rumours of being in a relationship with Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka kept it very safe on ‘Koffee With Karan’ and didn’t admit seeing the actor.
Priyanka Chopra’s ‘private’ stance on her life is acceptable but we are surely waiting to see the lady opening up a bit more on her romantic course!
