Vivek Oberoi to dub for Electro in the Hindi version of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'

Mumbai: Actor Vivek Oberoi will be the voice of the main villain Max Dillon aka Electro in the Hindi version of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'.
In the original version of the film, Electro is played by Oscar winning actor Jamie Foxx.
"We are very happy to have Vivek on board for the Hindi version of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'. The Hindi version is a large part of our box office and it's a very important role that Vivek will be playing in its success.
"Vivek has played a villain so brilliantly in the past and is already a familiar face in the genre. Kids in particular love him," said Kercy Daruwala, MD Sony Pictures India.
Vivek said he agreed to dub for the voice of Electro because he has been a huge fan of the web-casting superhero.
"I will be Electro's voice in the Hindi version of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2'. I have always been a huge fan of the Spider-Man comics and films. Max Dillon/Electro is an immensely fascinating and complex character and it will be interesting to face off with Spider-Man," said Vivek, who played a negative role in his last Bollywood release 'Krrish 3'.
The actor has already begun dubbing for the character.
The film starring Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and Emma Stone as his lady love, will release in India on May

Shahid Kapoor : Haider, one of the most challenging movies of my career

Mumbai: Actor Shahid Kapoor, who just wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film 'Haider', says it was one of the most challenging movies of his career.

'Haider', which is an adaptation of Shakespearean tragedy Hamlet stars Shahid, 33, in the titular role opposite newbie actress Shraddha Kapoor. The Vishal Bharadwaj directed film is slated to hit theatres on September 12.

"Its a wrap on 'Haider'... Only when you play hamlet you realise what a complex part it is... Probably my toughest yet !! And where does the bus go from here... No clue yet... Deep deep house and very very comfy sofa for now," Shahid posted on Twitter.

'Haider' also stars Irrfan Khan, Tabu and Kay Kay Menon. The film's shoot in Kashmir had to be cut short or halted from time to time as the crew met with frequent protests from the locals.

Shahid Kapoor, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt: Actors who went bald onscreen
It is not rare for our Bollywood actors to go far and beyond to justify roles. Whether it is life threatening stunts, fight scenes or dangerous shooting locations, nothing scares the dudes of B-town.

But when it comes to undergoing a drastic change in physical appearance, the equation kind of goes haywire – especially when actors are asked to shave off their hair. Many actors have given up big roles for they couldn’t go bald but then there were some who sacrificed their locks.

Not so long ago, Shahid was spotted with a bald head. Near Olive bar in Mumbai, Shahid was caught on cam sporting a heavy beard and a bald head, which he unsuccessfully tried to conceal with a hat.

Many A-listers like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Shabana Azmi have shaved off their hair. Have a look at some of them

'Pyaar Ka Dard...' team shifts location for big fat wedding

'Pyaar Ka Dard...' team shifts location for big fat weddingMumbai, March 20 : The team of "Pyaar Ka Dard Hain" had to shift the shoot location from a farmhouse to the main mansion used in the show due to space crunch.
The production team had to change the shoot location because the venue was too small to hold 35 artists. Being a Sooraj Barjatya show, the wedding was to have an elaborate affair with sangeet, haldi, mehendi and pheras.
"The weddings are a huge affair for the Barjatyas and they love to focus on the grandeur and focus on every small details. The plans were to shoot the wedding at the old farm house, but since that location couldn't hold the 35 artists it was shifted to the main Dewan Mansion," said a source from the production house.
The show airs on Star Plus.

Filmmaker Rohit Shetty, who has delivered hits such as Chennai Express, Singham and the Golmaal series, is all pepped up about being the host of the fifth season of adventure-based reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi. "Hosting Kharton Ke Khiladi has been a great learning experience. The stunts are grander and the scale of the show, including the entertainment quotient, is much bigger this time. Moreover, the focus is on having bigger and better stunts, and less of drama," said Rohit during the interview in Cape Town, South Africa, where the show has been shot. Ask him if he felt any pressure, as the previous seasons of the show have been hosted by actors Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra, and pat comes his reply, "Both Akshay and Priyanka are too big to be compared to me. For me, it’s an honour to have got the chance to host this show. I know that I am giving my 100%. I don’t believe in being calculative. I just believe in doing my best." We also asked him about his take on the line up of this year’s contestants, which includes names like actors Ranvir Shorey, Gauahar Khan, Nikitin Dheer, and Rajniesh Duggal, among others, to which he says, “It’s the best lot of contestants. They surprise me each day by either performing a task outstandingly or by not being able to do a task. It has been a roller coaster ride
Moving on to the subject of his forthcoming projects, Rohit, who is working on Singham 2 with actor Ajay Devgn, says he  wishes to make Golmaal 4.
"I’d love to make Golmaal 4, but I need to have the right script for it. I can’t cheat my audiences if I am not convinced by the story,” he says. Prod him on his shy image and he says, “I want my work to speak for me."

The writer’s trip to Cape Town was sponsored by Colors, the channel that will air Khatron Ke Khiladi.
