Meera Chopra rejects film due to bikini and intimacy

Meera Chopra rejects film due to bikini and intimacy

She may be coming from a family of glamorous girls who are doing well in B-Town. However, PYT Meera Chopra has put some restrictions, as far as her Bollywood sojourn is concerned. For starters, she is clear about neither wearing a bikini nor performing to any intimate scenes on screens.

In fact, even in a dozen odd films that Meera has done down South, she hasn't gone overtly bold despite her good looks and inviting persona. There are boundaries she has drawn around herself. This meant that it was a two year struggle for her to gain a foothold in Bollywood. However, she was willing to be patient instead of making any compromises.

Her perseverance paid as she signed Vikram Bhatt's 1920-LONDON and Ratan Jain/Satish Kaushik's GANG OF GHOSTS. As a matter of fact there was also another good offer that had come Meera's way but she had to let it go as it not just required her to step into a bikini but also go bold for the camera.

Confesses Meera, "See, being intimate is something which is out of my comfort zone. I can't do that. I had to opt out of the movie due to this very reason even though the overall package was very tempting."

Swearing by professional ethics, she doesn't spill the film's name. Meanwhile she acknowledges the fact that in real life she is quite uninhibited.

Says Meera, "I wear the shortest clothes in my real life as I am very comfortable in my attire. However to do that for camera is a different thing. Chote kapde pehenna ek baat hai. I can be hot and sexy in that. But why a bikini? I would rather hold that for the time being. I have waited for two years but not compromised with my stand. Why should I do that now?"

Is Deepika Padukone Getting Wary of Anushka Sharma?

Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh

Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone is undoubtedly on the top of her game but it seems the actress cannot hide her personal insecurity.
It is an open secret that Padukone is dating her "Ram-leela" co-actor Ranveer Singh, though the two have not admitted to the relationship yet.

Singh is all set to star in Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do" in a significant role but the twist lies in his pairing opposite Anushka Sharma, who incidentally is his former girlfriend.
And we feel it is this insecurity which has led the "Chennai Express" actress to express her desperation to feature in the Akhtar film.
Padukone recently stated that she was bowled over by the film's script and is ready to be a part of it at any cost; even in the role of an assistant director.

Even Kajol's curious about cousin Rani's wedding

Mumbai, March 13: For long, actress Rani Mukerji has been hounded by questions about her marriage and especially about rumours of her wedding with filmmaker Aditya Chopra. The latest curious case to join the bandwagon is her cousin and actress Kajol.
During the rapid fire round on Karan Johar's "Koffee With Karan", the filmmaker asked Kajol to answer - "If you were to ask the following people one thing what would you ask?"
When he took Rani's name, she said: "When are you getting married, even I would like to know."
Quick-witted Karan then immediately asked Kajol what she would like to ask Aditya Chopra.
To that, she said: "Same question."
The "Koffee With Karan" episode featuring Kajol, will be aired Sunday.

Gold prices fell by Rs 220 to Rs 30,800 per ten grams in the national capital on Thursday on emergence of profit-selling at prevailing higher levels.

Gold prices fell by Rs 220 to Rs 30,800 per ten grams in the national capital on Thursday on emergence of profit-selling at prevailing higher levels.
However, silver gained for the third-day by adding Rs 200 to Rs 46,900 per kg on sustained buying by industrial units and coin manufacturers.
Traders said profit-selling by stockists at prevailing higher levels against sluggish demand mainly pulled down gold prices.
Rising equities lured investors to park their funds for quick gains and that reduced the gold demand, they said.
On the domestic front, gold of 99.9 and 99.5 per cent purity plunged by Rs 220 each to Rs 30,800 and Rs 30,600 per ten grams, respectively. It had shot up by Rs 320 yesterday.
Sovereign fell by Rs 50 to Rs 25,350 per piece of eight grams.
On the other hand, silver ready advanced by Rs 200 to Rs 46,900 per kg and weekly-based delivery by Rs 240 to Rs 46,690 per kg. It had gained Rs 770 in last two days.
Silver coins also spurted by Rs 1,000 to Rs 87,000 for buying and Rs 88,000 for selling of 100 pieces.
