I have to undergo an endoscopy: Shah Rukh Khan

Mumbai, March 3 : Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who is recovering from an injury that he recently sustained on the sets of "Happy New Year", says he will undergo endoscopy.

On the sidelines of the IAA Leadership Awards here March 1, SRK was asked if he was recovering well.

He said: "I have to undergo an endoscopy now. Inshallah, I don't have to go under surgery, but endoscopy for sure."

Shah Rukh had suffered a shoulder fracture on the sets of "Happy New Year" Jan 23. It also left his left knee's patellar tendon torn and doctors advised him complete rest for two to three weeks.

Shah Rukh has already resumed shooting for the film but he has been asked to avoid any sort of strenuous stunts.

"I am okay now. I just need to strengthen a little, so I will start exercise but it is painful to exercise. But in the next one month, I will go easy on it," the 48-year-old said.

"I am back to shooting, but for another one month, no action (for me)," he added.

He also went to Kuala Lumpur to perform for his world tour "Temptation Reloaded 2014" recently.

Jiah Khan's mom moves Bombay High Court again for SIT probe, says she was killed

Rabia Khan, mother of late actor Jiah Khan, has moved the Bombay High Court once again alleging that her daughter was murdered and had not committed suicide and sought transfer of probe to a Special Investigating Team. The petition would come up for hearing in due course, her lawyer Dinesh Tiwari said.

In October 2013, Rabia had filed a petition seeking CBI probe but did not press for it as the High Court had asked police to record her statement and probe as if it was a case of murder. The police had probed on these lines and filed a chargesheet saying it was a suicide case and charged actor Suraj Pancholi, Jiah's boyfriend, for abetment of suicide.

At a press conference here today, Rabia alleged that she was threatened by a man on February 25 who met her at her house and asked her to withdraw case against the accused. She promptly reported this to Police Commissioner through e-mail. In her petition filed recently, 53-year-old Rabia had cited circumstances which point out that Jiah was allegedly killed and had not committed suicide, as stated in charge sheet. She has blamed Suraj for her daughter's death.

Rabia said she had carried out a sting operation of a few witnesses who revealed in an audio recording that they had not told the police what had been recorded in their statements, thereby doubting the police version that Jiah had committed suicide. The petitioner has sought investigations by SIT under the supervision of the High Court and direction so as to allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation, USA, to assist the Indian investigating agency in the ongoing probe. 

Rabia, a British citizen, has urged the High Court to direct the Juhu police to give her a copy of histopathology report, a copy of videography held during post mortem, copies of SMS exchanged between Suraj and Jiah and a copy of the call details record of Suraj and his father Aditya Pancholi. 

Jiah's mother has also prayed for a direction to the police to provide her with a copy of transcripts of the BBM (Blackberry Messenger services) chat between Suraj and Jiah, copies of details of mobile tower location and allow exhuming Jiah's body so as to conduct more forensic examinations. She prayed that police may be directed to book Suraj Pancholi with additional charges under IPC including 302 (murder), 323 (voluntary causing grievous hurt) and 376 (rape).

Megastar Shahrukh Khan and actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar were honoured at the 6th Mirchi Music Awards here.

Shahrukh, known for his romantic numbers such as Tujhe dekha to ye jaana sanam (Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge), Humko hami se chura lo (Mohabbatein) and Are re are ye kya hua (Dil To Pagal Hai), bagged the Reliance Digital Presents Mirchi face of romantic songs award.

“Extremely touched by all singers coming together to do this for me. It’s given me 10 years of energy to go on stronger and harder. Thanks Mirchi,” he tweeted Thursday night.

Farhan, who missed the function, was given Royal Stag Make it Large award.

Among the music categories, Aashiqui 2 won maximum number of awards. It bagged as many as seven of them including song of the year – jury for Tum hi ho, album of the year- jury and Royal Stag Listeners Choice Album of the year.

Some of the performers included Arijit Singh, Mika Singh, Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani.

Mumbai, Mar 3 : A party thrown by a leading Indian television channel recently, saw the attendance of the much talked about couple Armaan Kohli and Tanishaa Mukerji.

The duo was seen together making a public appearance for the very first time, since Bigg Boss 7.

Tanishaa was seen gracing the red carpet in an Urvashi Kaur dress.

The earthy hues in the floor length dress and the flowy yet curve accentuating fit, made the actress look uber feminine.

Standing beside the actress, was Armaan, dressed in an all black Mapxencars suit by designer duo Riddhi & Siddhi.

The crackling chemistry between the couple certainly seems to have still been the talk of the town  even after their last television appearance in the reality show.
