From modelling to acting is natural progression: Reyhna Malhotra
Reyhna Malhotra (Pic courtesy: Facebook)"Every field has a progression, after modelling, the next step is acting! Modelling is fun but both the medium are very different and that's why we jump into acting," Reyhna said.

She has walked the ramp for designers like Shane-Falguni Peacock, Rocky S, Babita Malkani and Asif Shah.Unlike many who are specific about their debut, for Reyhna, working with National Award winning director Nila Madhab Panda was enough.

"'Babloo Happy Hai' being my first film, I didn't give too much thought to the character or length of my role - I just grabbed it! The name Nila Madhab Panda, who has already directed films like 'I Am Kalam' and 'Jalpari', attracted me to come on board," she said.

Originally from Srinagar, Reyhna has been brought up in Delhi. Aiming to enter the film industry, she came to Mumbai two years back. After finishing "Babloo Happy Hai", Reyhna took up a southern film and says she has no hang ups about working in regional cinema.

"I started the Telugu film after 'Babloo Happy Hai'. Southern industry is equally amazing and people are professional as well as punctual." "There was no difficulty in shooting the film as I was called a week before the shoot to understand my lines and get it right," added the actress who mugged up Telugu and Tamil lines to make her role convincing.Currently, she is busy meeting people for more films and said that she is getting a "positive response".

BMW 3 Series GT launched at the Auto Expo for Rs 42.75 lakh

BMW has launched the 3 Series GT at the Auto Expo for Rs 42.75 lakh (all India ex-showroom). The 3 Series GT will be assembled at the German automaker’s Chennai plant and deliveries will begin in March. It follows the same principle as the 5 Series GT which was brought to India in 2012.

The car broke cover last year at the Geneva Motor Show and is a bigger and a rather
practical version of the 3 Series sedan. The overall hike in dimensions stand at an additional
200mm in length with a height increase of 81mm and a 110mm longer wheelbase than the
standard sedan. It was previously spotted testing outside Chennai and later Phillip Von Saar confirmed to CarWale that the car would be launched for the Indian market this year.
As compared to the sedan, the GT has larger headlights, a larger grille and a softly contoured
hood. The biggest change in the rear is the sloping fastback which houses the hatch and an electrically raised rear spoiler - a first for BMW. The interior features the same layout as seen
in the 3 Series sedan, with the exception of the additional legroom.

The car comes in only the 320d variant and is powered by the 2.0-litre straight-six engine that produces 184bhp and 380Nm of torque. The automatic gearbox comes courtesy ZF and has overall eight forward ratios. The power is sent to the rear wheels. The 3 Series GT is in a niche category when it comes to compeititon due to its design.

Ranbaxy Q4 net loss narrows to Rs 158.94 crore

New Delhi: Drug major Ranbaxy Laboratories's fourth-quarter net loss narrowed to Rs 158.94 crore, mainly on account of higher sales of its Absorica acne drug. The company had posted a loss of Rs 492.44 crore a year earlier, according to a statement.
"Ranbaxy has been strengthening its base business in key markets, including India, Eastern Europe and the USA, which has helped us recover our margins," Arun Sawhney, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, said in a statement.
Ranbaxy also said it made a provision of Rs 257.4 crore towards the financial impact of a US ban on import of products made at its plant at Toansa. Revenue rose 6.7 per cent to Rs 2,894 crore in the quarter from Rs 2,711.2 crore in the year-ago period.
North America sales were Rs 1,020 crore, with the US accounting for Rs 910 crore, Ranbaxy said. "Growth in sales has been propelled by India, USA and East Europe and Absorica is the reason," President and Chief Financial Officer Indrajit Banerjee said on a conference call.
In January, the US Food and Drug Administration banned the import of Ranbaxy products from its Toansa plant in Punjab due to deviations from good manufacturing practices. The Toansa plant was the company's fourth in the country to be slapped with a ban by the USFDA.
Ranbaxy said it has since advanced investigation of the findings of the USFDA and submitted its response to the US health regulator on February 3. The US health regulator said it exercised its authority under a provision in a January 2012 consent decree, which permits the agency to extend those terms to any Ranbaxy-owned or operated facility if an FDA inspection finds it in violation of norms.
Ranbaxy said the remediation plan for Dewas and Paonta Sahib progresses in line with the consent decree while all commitments for the Mohali plant have been met. "We are facing some major regulatory challenges and are disappointed with the developments. I would like to assure all our stakeholders that we will do whatever is necessary to address all concerns of the USFDA and are committed to resolve them as early as possible," Sawhney said.
The company said it received Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation approval to manufacture and market Synriam in India to treat malaria. Ranbaxy got final approval from the USFDA to manufacture and market Felodipine extended-release tablets to treat hypertension, according to the statement.
With the company changing to an April-March financial year effective April 1, the current financial year is being extended to a 15-month period ending March 2014. Ranbaxy shares gained 5.69 per cent to Rs 340.05 at the close on the BSE.
