Ali Zafar kills in Kill Dil! Mumbai: Ali Zafar, the kid who sketched portraits to earn pocket money in hotel lobbies so one day he could make his own music video saw his dream fulfil with his first album selling 5 million copies catapulting him to a singing sensation overnight. However, it didn't stop there. Year 2010 marked the debut of a one of the most versatile artists with the sleeper hit "Tere Bin Laden".

After the riveting success of the film, Ali was immediately roped in by Yash Raj Films for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan ,which did encouraging business at the box office . The actor then impressed critics with his performance in Chashme Baddoor and has now taken the audiences and critics alike by surprise with his latest offering in "Kill Dil".

Ali Zafar walked away with rave reviews as he held his own alongside veteran Govinda,Ranveer Singh and Parineeti Chopra –

Mumbai: All the Khan fans might have been surprised knowing that Shahrukh Khan kept all his personal tiffs with Salman Khan aside and went ahead to bless Arpita. Presence of Shahrukh and Salman together made the ‘Sangeet Ceremony’ all the more lively. Apart from this, news is that Shahrukh gifted something very special to the bride-to-be.

Reports are that SRK gifted Arpita a hamper of branded designer bags as he knows that Arpita loves designer bags. Keeping in mind her love for bags, Shahrukh got some of the latest International brand designer bags for Arpita.

Shahrukh even spent time talking with Salman and his father Salim Khan.

Talking on the same, a source close to the development said, “Everyone was extremely touched by SRK’s gesture. It didn’t feel like he and Salman had fallen apart before. There was a lot of warmth between the two and they were laughing and joking like the old times. Arpita has also been close to SRK and Gauri and she was heard telling him that he has to make it to the wedding at Hyderabad.”

'Happy New Year' script makes it to Oscar library!

After the bumper success of Shah Rukh Khan-starrer "Happy New Year", filmmaker Farah Khan has one more achievement to add to it. The movie's script has been included into the Oscars library.

The filmmaker took to social networking website Twitter to share her joy and delight over the news and thanked her co-writers for penning the script. The heist drama, with dollops of dance and music, minted Rs.108.86 crore, becoming a movie with the biggest opening weekend at the box office in India.


The film had a starry ensemble with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani and Vivaan Shah and was released Oct 24,

Farah Khan is one of the few female directors to carve a niche for herself with a number of successful films like "Main Hoon Na" and "Om Shanti Om". The filmmaker will be attending the closing ceremony of the 20th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) Monday to showcase and emphasise women's power.

"Now en route to kolkatta film fest closing ceremony!! Being felicitated n also felicitating the Best woman director there!! More power!!," she further posted.

While it cannot be confirmed that the actor was missing from the lavish party, which was held at the Bachchan's home Prathiksha in Mumbai on 16 November, from his blog and Twitter handle, it appeared that Amitabh was busy with his shooting schedule.
The "Bhootnath Returns" actor often tweets about any celebration that takes place at his home, but this time he chose to stay mum. Instead of posting any message to the little one, he re-tweeted a post from one of his followers which read: "@SrBachchan #HappyBirthdayAaradhya ...wish your princess love happiness and all the best Amen..God bless her always."
As per his blog post, the senior Bollywood actor was in Kolkata, where he is busy shooting for his upcoming movie "Piku". Big B posted some photos of him surrounded by fans on a Kolkata road and wrote, "Sundays have a special place in the mind and heart .. that of the meeting of the well wishers on the doors of Jalsa .. and to say that i do not miss it would be so wrong .. I miss it and the roar of affection and love ... BUT"
 "Here in Kolkata, had a large taste of it when I left the work in the evening .. the people and their love still amazes me .. I often wonder there are so many others which deserve to get all this and they do.. so mine should diminish or not be there at all .. at 73 , this is not correct I would say .. not correct in a way that says it is past the time and place for it .. so let it disappear and evaporate like most other ..." he added.
Amitabh Bachchan also revealed that he met Sourav Ganguly and Niladri Kumar on Sunday. He wrote, "There have been some greats on set today.. the great and legendary Saurav Ganguly, India's pride on the Cricket field .. And then the maestro Niladri Kumar, the incredible sitarist, one whose music remains permanently on my music platforms and systems .. Such an honour to be in their company .."

B-town celebs attend special screening of movie 'Kill Dil' in Mumbai

Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut, Shraddha Kapoor and many others celebs recently attended the special screening of 'Kill Dil' in Mumbai.
The entire cast of 'Kill Dil' including Govinda, Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar was present at the event.
The female lead of the film, Chopra was dressed in a Gauri and Nainika pastel-blue dress and on the other hand, Singh wore a blue and white blazer and yellow fedora hat.
