Ranveer Singh denies his 'Kill Dil' character being metrosexual

Ranveer Singh denies his 'Kill Dil' character being metrosexual

Mumbai: Ranveer Singh, who usually sports a grungy look with a stubble, has donned a clean-shaven and neat look in his forthcoming movie "Kill Dil". But he says his character is not metrosexual in nature.
Ranveer tries to experiment with his looks film after film -- whether it's with a moustache or with his haircut.
Talking about the look of his "Kill Dil" character, he said: "The funda behind it was that he will be clean-shaven with a 'katora' cut and red hair. I know that it's not my best look, but my priority is to look like my character rather than look good.
"There are some films in which the glam quotient is very high, but the 'Kill Dil' character is very deglam. He is not metrosexual guy. In fact, he comes from a low class background."
Ranveer says his character undergoes changes when a rich girl, essayed by Parineeti Chopra, enters his life.
"She teaches him the finer things of life. It's a very soft character, and (director) Shaad Ali was telling me that after 'Gunday' and 'Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela', we need to show your softer, innocent and endearing side," said the energetic actor.
Ranveer also had to put on some weight for the role "because in 'Gunday', my face looked hard as I had more muscle and less body fat at that time".
"Kill Dil", releasing on Children's Day Nov 14, also features Govinda and Ali Zafar.

Jackie Shroff's daughter makes documentary on transgenders

Jackie Shroff's daughter makes documentary on transgenders
Mumbai: Actor Jackie Shroff's first-born Tiger Shroff made his Bollywood debut as a leading man this year, and now his daughter Krishna has decided to make her presence felt from behind the scenes with a documentary on the transgender community.
She has shot the film on her own.
While the family has kept the project low-profile, a friend of the Shroffs said: "Krishna is a very talented girl. She could've excelled in any field -- academic or fine arts. But Krishna was very clear about what she wanted to do."
The documentary, entitled "Black Sheep", takes a lingering but dispassionate look at the transgender community.
Krishna's proud mother Ayesha said: "Our daughter just completed shooting the documentary on the transgender community in Mumbai. Her documentary focuses on the community's hopes and dreams and joys as opposed to the murky sordid side of their lives that keeps recurring in all discussions on the transgender community."
What makes Ayesha especially proud is that her daughter did the documentary on her own.
"Krishna made this documentary in collaboration with her professor from her university -- an Indo-British lady named Reshal Shah. We are very happy with what both our children are doing."
