Salman Khan's Kick is 2014's Biggest Blockbuster

Salman Khan's Kick is 2014's Biggest Blockbuster

There's a new blockbuster in town. Bollywood actor Salman Khan's latest release Kick has broken down the box office, minting Rs 226 crores at the Indian box office and Rs 67.34 crores overseas since releasing on July 25. It's already the year's biggest blockbuster and Salman's highest-earning film, pushing Ek Tha Tiger to second place on Alpha Khan's resume of money-spinners.

In the wake of Kick's earnings trail Salman's other 2014 film Jai Ho, Ek Villain starring Shraddha Kapoor, and two Alia Bhatt films - 2 States and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania

On Salman's personal list, Kick has dislodged Ek Tha Tiger which minted Rs 198.78 crore, followed byDabangg 2, Bodyguard and Dabangg

Kick is number four in terms of speedy collections, having made Rs 200 crores in 11 days. Hrithik Roshan's Krrish 3 and Aamir Khan's Dhoom: 3 earned their double centuries in 10 days or under while Shah Rukh Khan's Chennai Express made Rs 200 crores in 15 days.

So, while the movie may not have garnered Kick-ing reviews from film critics, Salman Khans went home happy and with lighter wallets. All eyes are now on the face-off between Kick vs Singham Returns, which releases on August 15, at ticket counters this month.
