Imran Khan and Kangna Ranaut's live-in romance in Katti Batti
After the disastrous Gori Tere Pyar Mein, Imran Khan took a paternity break to welcome his little angel Imara. While the actor is on cloud nine enjoying the fatherhood phase, he will also soon resume work. Imran Khan signed Nikhil Advani's next titled Katti Batti which is a contemporary love story.
Bringing the fresh pair of Imran Khan and Kangna Ranaut, Katti Batti is set in urban India and talks about a couple in a live-in relationship. In fact, complications arise between them when Kangna gets pregnant. The film talks about the clash of thoughts between two people who belong to two different worlds. Payal played by Kangna hails from a wealthy family in Delhi who has modern and unconventional thoughts about marriage and motherhood and on the other hand, Maddy aka Imran Khan comes from a middle class household in Pune. When Imran Khan wants to marry Kangna Ranaut after she gets pregnant, Kangna has other plans in store.
Though Nikhil Advani maintains that the film concentrates on confident and progressive women, the story somehow bears resemblance to Salaam Namaste that starred Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta which was one of the first films in Bollywood to have focused on live-in relationships. However denying it, Nikhil stated that Salaam Namaste was based in Australia while Katti Batti is about two people who meet in an art school in Mumbai.

Did Kareena Kapoor manage to pull off an ill-fitting outfit?
Mumbai: The Lakme Fashion Week 2014 came to a close last evening, bringing out some of Bollywood's biggest stars to watch the grand finale extravaganza. Designer Manish Malhotra was given the honours to conclude the week long fashion show, and he did so in style.
The designer had actress Kareena Kapoor walk the ramp in a stunning purple and silver ensemble. The actress' association with Manish has been a long standing one.
Though the starlet managed to pull off the look effortlessly, we did happen to notice a slight bulge on her tummy. Kareena has been in the spotlight lately surrounded by pregnancy rumours. The reason: turning down numerous films this year.
however she denied these rumours saying she is focusing on her work right now, but would love to start a family in the next few years.
Kareena recently returned from London, where she was vacationing with hubby Saif Ali Khan, and made it just in time to be the showstopper for her designer friend Manish.
Kareena had a wonderful time and it certainly showed in these pictures. And while she walked down the ramp, she clearly struggled to hold her tummy in.
Kamal Haasan's 'Uttama Villain' to release before 'Vishwaroopam 2'
Chennai, Aug 25: Tamil comedy film 'Uttama Villain', featuring actor-filmmaker Kamal Haasan, recently wrapped up and will release before his spy-thriller 'Vishwaroopam 2' is out, which is currently stuck in the post-production phase.
"There's a lot of graphics work is involved in Vishwaroopam 2, hence the delay. It will only release after Uttama Villain, which should be out very soon," a source said.
'Uttama Villain' is said to be the story of an ageing superstar, played by Mr Haasan, who has also penned the story of the film. The film also features Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar and Haasan's mentor K. Balachander in important roles.The film is directed by famous Kannada actor Ramesh Arvind.
Mr Haasan is currently busy shooting for Tamil thriller 'Papanasam', a remake of Malayalam blockbuster 'Drishyam'.
