Team 'Happy New Year' to start TV dance reality show

‘Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale’ is India’s first reality show that puts zero pressure on its participants.
Mumbai: While film promotions have become a mandatory part of TV  reality shows, the ‘Happy New Year’ star cast decided to go take it one step further. Instead of making a guest appearance on a daily television dance reality show, they have created their own dance show to promote their film.
‘Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale’ is India’s first reality show that puts zero pressure on its participants. Here dance will be celebrated rather being a prop of stunts and formations. “Dance has become a serious business, we are here to break that” said Boman Irani.
‘Happy New Year’ star cast touted as the ‘angels of happiness’ came to judge the Mumbai auditions. For the first time we saw Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan on the other side of the stage as the judge of a reality show.
The show's title is a spin off from the HNY’s popular track ‘Indiawaale’, and has created a huge buzz specifically due to the show’s format. Contestants who dance ‘Dil Se’ (freestyle) will feature in this show.
The auditions began with brief performances by each HNY star starting with sultry Deeepika Padukone, who was still very much in her character. She performed on her special number ‘Lovely’ that received a similar response her character gets in the film. The crowd roared “Mohini Mohini” before she began her dance sequence.
Unlike Deepika, Junior Bachchan and SRK made their grand entries from where the audience was seated. Their entries received major hooting and a large crowd gathered around them. Abhishek was lucky enough to save himself but King Khan was trapped amidst a sea of fans. His entry became so chaotic that his bodyguards and managers had to come to the star’s rescue.
Farah Khan who was the anchor for the cast’s entry was initially worried but as the crowd cleared and everyone got back to their seats, she seemed to gain her composure. The reigning Khan of Bollywood  made an entry 10 feet up in air. While he did not give any special performance, he managed to leave everyone charmed with his witty one-liners.
The auditions for ‘Dil Se Naachein Indiawaale’ have begun in Mumbai and will be aired on October 11.

Akshay Kumar gets trained by 'God of Parkour'

Mumbai: Although Akshay Kumar's 'Entertainment' could not win over the box office, Neeraj Pandey's latest offering 'Baby' seems to pack the right punch. In contrast to its cute title, the movie has roped in French stuntman Cyril Raffaelli ( 'District 13' and 'Incredible Hulk' fame) to put together adreline-pumping action sequences. Akshay Kumar who himself is well-trained in martial arts is being trained in 'Parkour'. Parkour is a holistic training that teaches one to cross obstacles by running, climbing, swinging, rolling and other bodily movements. Essaying the role of a counter-intelligent agent, Akshay seems to be reviving his khiladi image back on big screen.

'Baby' caught attention after the official Twitter page of the action flick took to the micro blogging site to reveal the characters from the movie. Soon, Akshay started posting stills and images from the shoots across Nepal and Istanbul. The actor recently posted a candid picture with Cyril Raffaelli saying "Guess Who?? On the sets of my next Thriller #Baby. This is my only hint. He's a God in my Parkour World."

Ajay Devgn collaborates with Mumbai police, advocates literacy for the underprivileged

Mumbai: 'Singham' star Ajay Devgn today called on the underprivileged children to pursue education for a bright future and to uplift their lives. "Our country and future is in the hands of children. I urge you all to go to schools and lighten up your lives and grow up in future," said Devgn, who is a father of two kids.
The 45-year-old actor was speaking at 'Project Parivartan' programme, an initiative by Mumbai Police in association with Women & Child Welfare Department and Tribal Development Department, organised at Bhartiya Vidhyabhavan auditorium in south Mumbai.

The cause was supported by various NGOs involved in rehabilitation of begging and hawking communities. There are 491 families of Faase Pardhi and Waghri tribes who along with their 1,233 children beg on south Mumbai streets alone, as per the figures provided by NGOs.
Appealing the parents to willingly send their children to government schools, the 45-year-old actor said, "The government officials are here to assist you (parents) in all possible ways to ensure that the children can pursue education without any hassles and are given optimum opportunities and a holistic growth. There are various NGOs too which will provide you (parents) jobs while your children study in schools."
Devgn reminded the children that if they desist from studying then the efforts made so far by him, the government and NGOs would go waste. The parents of these children will also be rehabilitated by providing skills training and employment by the government agencies and NGOs so that they do not let their children drop
out of school and re-initiate them into begging, said Additional Police Commissioner (South) Krishna Prakash,
who organised the event.
"We will help the children to enroll in government schools. We aim to create a beggar-free zone in south Mumbai,"
he said. The programme was also attended by Mumbai Police Joint Commissioners B K Upadhyay (Traffic), Dhananjay Kamalakar (Law and Order) and officials from government agencies and NGOs.
