Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan inaugurated a branch of CritiCare Multispeciality Hospital and Research Center here Saturday in the presence of other Hindi film celebrities like Anil Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Eesha Gupta, Huma Qureshi and Abbas-Mastan.
The new branch of the hospital is located in Andheri East.
Deepak Namjoshi, the man behind the hospital facility, joined hands with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) in 2012 to deliver high quality, cost-effective healthcare services to the Indian film industry. He has been providing medical treatments and facilities to the film industry including technicians, stunt-people, junior artists and other members of the film fraternity.
Hailing these efforts, Hrithik, the 'Bang Bang' star, said: "Deepak Namjoshi is well known for his association with the IIFA Foundation and together they have worked on the welfare of the workers of the film industry. We are very thankful for their good work in the community."
The 100-bed boutique hospital promises to provide healthcare with a professional team of over 130 specialised consultants along with over 200 other medical staff members.
Namjoshi said: “There's a need for good well-equipped hospitals which are not only clean, patient-friendly and affordable to all but promises a happy environment as well."


Javed Akhtar completes 50 years in industry, Shabana happy 

Mumbai, Oct 4  As noted lyricist, poet, screenwriter Javed Akhtar clocked 50 years in the film industry today, his wife veteran actress Shabana Azmi says she looks at his incredible journey with respect.

Akhtar, 69, arrived in Mumbai in 1964. He struggled to get work in the film industry and finally got his break with 1969 film Dharmendra-starrer 'Yakeen' in which he contributed with the dialogues.

Mumbai: Remember actor Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao starrer ‘Ishq Vishk’? Yes, the film which gave new definition to college romance life. And now it is reported that its sequel is in pipeline.

According to reports, Ramesh Taurani has said the movie's script is almost finalised. Also, it is being said that the sequel will also be helmed by Ken Ghosh, who directed its first part.

When recently media asked Taurani about the upcoming sequel, he without disclosing much said, "We keep looking at different scripts, and as far as this sequel is concerned, nothing is concrete right now. Ken is still busy developing the script, so I can't talk anything about the film right now."

There are also buzz suggesting that the sequel will see new comers in it.

'Ishq Vishk' released in year 2003, was a hit. Interestingly, it was also Shahid’s debut venture.
