Happy Birthday: Shah Rukh Khan wishes his main 'knight' Gambhir
 
Mumbai:  Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has wished good health and happiness to his "main man" Gautam Gambhir, the captain of the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Gambhir turned 33 Tuesday.
"And a very happy birthday to my main man…@GautamGambhir u are a rockstar. Stay healthy and happy my friend. Love you," tweeted SRK - the co-owner of the Kolkata franchise.
The left-hander is regarded as one of the most successful Indian openers having played 147 ODIs, 56 Tests and 37 T20s.
He has nine Test hundreds to his name and averages 42.58 in the format while in the 50-over format, Gambhir has hit 11 centuries, scoring 5,238 runs at an average of 39.68.
Along with Delhi teammate Virender Sehwag, Gambhir made one of the most formidable opening partnerships in world cricket.

London: One Direction band member Zayn Malik is reportedly being wooed by Bollywood producers to sing and act in a Hindi movie.
Producers in Mumbai want to tap into his global popularity and are offering 500,000 pounds for a song to Malik, reports mirror.co.uk.
“One very big production company is putting together an offer for him to act as well as sing. He has turned down one song so far, but if the right one comes along it could be great for him,” said a source.

Filmmakers have been adapting unique promotional techniques to garner attention and Dharma Productions is doing the same for Ungli. The State Elections of Maharashtra will be held tomorrow and the team of the film has decided to use this opportunity in their favour.

The film which talks about fighting for your rights will be encouraging the public to vote by giving away pamphlets. The makers of Ungli will be distributing it in different localities of the city Mumbai urging people to vote. The idea behind this is that the team is asking the public to put your 'ungli' to some good use! Some of the areas where the pamphlets will be distributed tomorrow include Chiku wadi, I.C colony, U.B Nagar, Nancy colony, Ashok wan, Sai Baba Nagar in Borivali and in popular localities of Andheri which include 7 bungalows, 4 bungalows, Versova, Azad Nagar, Amboli. The plush locations of Juhu and Lokhandwala will also be included. Towards South Mumbai, Shivaji park, Hindu colony, Ghokle road, Bhawani Shankar road, Portugal church, Prabhadevi in Dadar too will see the team distributing pamphlets.



Dharma Productions' Ungli directed by Rensil D'Silva stars Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda, Neha Dhupia, Angad Bedi and Neil Bhoopalam. The film is slated to release on November 28.

Mumbai: Randhir Kapoor, who is playing a grandpa in his forthcoming film "Super Naani", says his younger daughter and actress Kareena, who is married to actor-filmmaker Saif Ali Khan, is not planning to have children right now.

The 67-year-old's elder daughter and actress Karisma has two children and he said: "I am very proud of my two grandchildren and I visit them very often."
When asked about welcoming Kareena's children, he said: "She has told me that she does not want to have babies right now. I can't help it. Children from today's generation don't want advice from anybody. As long as Kareena is happy, I am happy too."
Meanwhile "Super Naani" will see Randhir teaming up with his yesteryear co-star Rekha after a long hiatus and says that they have always been good friends.
"I am working with her after 16 years. We have worked together in some 20 films (starting with 'Raampur Ka Lakshman' (1972)), and my relationship with her has been consistently very good, touchwood.
"People find her temperamental and moody, but with me she always has been even. She is one of my favourite actors, a very good human being, and an excellent friend."
Directed by Indra Kumar, "Super Naani", also featuring Sharman Joshi and Shweta Kumar, is coming out Oct 31.
