Defending his statement, Khan said if a Muslim could not say he would be the first to sacrifice his life for the motherland, what was wrong in it.
Talking to IndiaToday.in, Khan claimed it was a strategy of the Indian Army to use Muslim soldiers to trick the Pakistani Army.
Khan said some three years ago, a senior Indian Army official told him about their strategy.
On the identity of this Army officer, Khan said: "He lives in Bhopal and we have a cordial relationship. I will disclose his identity at an appropriate time if needed. But I can't understand the basis of scepticism. Don't Muslims have equal right to serve mother India?"
Khan gave this statement on the last day of campaigning for the second phase of polling in Muzaffarnagar, which saw riots last year.
