Bombay Velvet shooting wrap up was an emotional affair for Anushka Sharma
Mumbai: Bollywood beauty Anushka Sharma exhibited her emotional side whole wrapping up the shooting of upcoming film ‘Bombay Velvet’.
The film noir is directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. Sharma plays opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Kashyap's periodic love story while Karan Johar plays the role of an antagonist in the film.
The film is based on a book “Mumbai Fables” by Gyan Prakash in which he wrote about how Mumbai became a place of unrequited love, greed, jazz and violence. Gyan Prakash is an eminent modern Indian historian and a professor of history at Princeton University.
The 25-year-old actress plays a jazz singer in the film.
The entire team gathered with a bottle of champagne, bunch of flowers after Anushka completed the shoot.

Bhopal airport authorities amend rules after official misbehaved with Madhuri Dixit
Bhopal: The B-town celebrities have been gracing
the TV-shows, making appearances on news channels and willingly travelling to
different cities to promote their upcoming films. It doesn’t come as a surprise
when fans throng the promotional events and request for autographs and pictures
with the stars. But a recent incident at Bhopal airport has made the airport
authorities implement rules which forbids the security personnel to leave their
duties and meet celebrities or VIPs during their visit to the city or
airport.
Bollywood actor, Madhuri Dixit had to endure misbehaviour of an
airport official subsequent to which airport authorities were compelled to amend
rules. The authorities have issued new set of guidelines for the airport
officials as per which they are not allowed to abandon their duties during the
arrival of celebrities or any VIP movements at the airport, strict action would
be taken against the officials found neglecting their duties.
In a recent incident, Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit and producer
Anubhav Sinha who were in Bhopal to promote their movie ‘Gulaab Gang’ were asked
to leave the VIP lounge in Bhopal airport. An airport official who had taken
them to the VIP lounge requested to get a photograph taken with Dixit, when the
two were waiting for their return flight to Mumbai. Dixit, reportedly refused to
pose since she was very tired after the movie’s promotion. The official got
angry and asked the actress to leave the VIP lounge immediately.
The official had abandoned his duty and come to meet the eminent
actor, the Bhopal airport authorities had faced a lot of flak due to the
incident. It was later noted that copious number of officials left their work to
meet celebrities on their visit to the airport. To put an end to this conduct
the airport authorities have issued a new set of guidelines.

Alia Bhatt, who stepped into Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year and then went on to be a part of Imtiaz Ali’s Highway, is craving to be directed by her father and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.
Alia Bhatt is very is hopeful that one day her father, Mahesh Bhatt, will write a script for her and direct her too.
“It will happen for sure. It will happen at the right time. It will have to be a film like Aashiqui 2, which will be remembered. I have tried to convince him many times and he has promised me that he will write for me for sure,” informed a very hopeful Alia Bhatt.
When asked if her dad gives any acting tips, Alia said: “He thinks this is not the right time to give tips. He is a great director and I think he feels that when I will work with him, he will give he tips on acting.”
It’s been close to about fifteen years that Mahesh Bhatt gave up directing. His last film was Kartoos in the year 1999.
One cannot still forget films like Saaransh, Arth, Naam, Daddy, Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin, Zakhm, etc., that were directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Mahesh retired from directing and now produces films and nurtures new talent under his banner Vishesh Films.
As far as Alia Bhatt is concern she is all set for her third release 2 States that stars Arjun Kapoor.
2 States is based on Chetan Bhagat‘s novel by the same name, the film is a story of two IIM Ahmedabad students Krish Malhotra (Arjun Kapoor) and Ananya Swaminathan (Alia Bhatt) who fall in love with each other but their cultural differences create problems, as the girl is a south Indian while the boy is a north Indian Punjabi.
2 States also stars Ronit Roy and Amrita Singh as Arjun’s parents while Revathy and Shiv Kumar Subramaniam as Alia Bhatt’s parents.
2 States, is being co-produced by Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala along with Chetan Bhagat and the film is being directed by debutant Abhishek Varman.
The film is set to hit the screens on April 18, 2014.
